Bush: 'Our Long National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity Is Finally Over' | The Onion - America's Finest News Source

Holy crapzor Batman! Here's a little article I just happened across dated Jan 17, 2001 from the beginnings of the Bush regime and his one of his early press conferences. It's so scary how so much of this has come to pass as foretold... Read the full item below:

Picasa Web Albums - Nate - Nate and Robb... - florida 036.jpg

Here's a weird pic I took in October while in St. Augustine, FL. I took this in a small room just outside a "secret" room which was discovered several years back which contained human remains. Note the orb shaped object toward the upper left corner which looks like it has a face in it.
When I opened the album after downloading my pics, this was the first photo I opened for some strange reason. It gave me goosebumps when I saw that object.
You be the judge!

Go diesel! Being a motorist who drives a Jeep Liberty Diesel I can really appreciate this article. One glaring omission is the lack of mention of BioDiesel. Check it out.

Animal Liberation Display

Animal Liberation Display

Here's some food for thought. An excerpt from the essay:

Today as many as 115 million animals are tortured and killed in laboratories in the U.S. every year. Many of these experiments—including infecting dogs with diseases, blinding kittens, dripping caustic chemicals in rabbits' eyes, and force-feeding poisons to monkeys—are paid for by taxpayers' dollars even though we are now in the 21st century and have progressive, animal-free alternatives. Animals in laboratories suffer and die only because they are considered "different" and "inferior" and are powerless to defend themselves.

Best IM client! GAIM!

Gaim Instant messenger

Check it out. It replaces all the standalone IM clients you have allowing a combined buddy list and separate windows for each chat - no more having to open MSN messenger, YIM, AIM, etc.

Supports multiple cool plugins similar to Trillian!

And best of all - it's open source! That translates into free software! Of course donations to the project are welcome but not compulsory.

I've used it for a while and it seems stable under XP. And since it's open source, there's a decent sized developer list and active development.

Give it a try at http://gaim.sourceforge.net/

Useful Websites

Here's an interesting and useful website/utility I've found. Writely.com is a full featured online word processor with online storage of your docs! Very useful for on the go sorts or peeps who forget to grab their docs on removable media when out and about. Just sign in or set up sharing and you're set!

Best of all it's free! In the future they're planning to add some premium features, but who'd begrudge a little dinero for an ad free alternative to MS!

Windows Media Player 10 - pffft!

Arrggghhhh! What ails M$?! They add insult to injury after Win Mobile hoses itself, necessitating a hard reset of my device (an opportune time to do a firmware update btw), then when I try to access tunes stored on the damn SD card via Mobile Media Player - NADA!

All the tunes I legally purchaced are no longer licensed and won't work. Now i have to remember how I fixed it the last time, find the annoying files for the DRM (digital rights management license thingy) and clean them out and do a clean sync.

Wouldn't it behoove the "World Class" (that term is sooo annoying not to mention overused and under defined!) music player to HAVE SOME SORT OF READILY AVAILABLE INFORMATION ON HOW TO RESET YOUR DRM LICENSES IN THE ALL TOO FREQUENT SITUATION DESCRIBED ABOVE!?

If anyone reading this knows of some info somewhere dealing with the above situation please comment below.

Chron.com | Eminent domain activists try to evict a court justice

This is a great idea! "Subject a supreme court justice to the conesequences of one of his own decisions"! Imagine that. Judges having to live by their own mandates - it's brilliant.

This article is about some very resourceful individuals who are planning to use the "eminent domain" travesty to seize the house of one of the facist judges who sided with the developers to seize private homes in New Hampshire last year and give them to developers seeking to make a fast buck.

"It's almost as if they are trying to intimidate judges," said Kurk, a Republican. Pfft.
